Spotlight: Tranzo 🔦

Introducing one of the latest Aave grantees: Tranzo, a tool that helps Aave users migrate their supply and borrow positions from one address to another using Flash Loans. Get access to their beta & share any feedback in the governance forum.

Protocol 📰

Pause ETH borrowing. After a successful on-chain vote, ETH borrowing has been paused ahead of the Merge. The conversation now shifts to how it should be re-enabled after the Merge - read Gauntlet’s thoughts here.
Retroactive funding for v3. The on-chain vote to retroactively fund Aave Companies for developing v3 is live for voting. It looks like it will easily pass with over 657.14k current votes in favour.
Financial reports. Llama shared their August financial reports including a deep dive into revenue generated from the ETH reserve and other comprehensive metrics.

Messari shared their first weekly report that outlines key analytics and insights from the Aave ecosystem.

Gauntlet launched an Analytics Dashboard for Aave that highlights key stats including the largest borrow positions, liquidations by asset and more.
Chaos Labs released their Aave v3 Risk Application. Features include liquidations, wallet aggregation, and risk explorer.

Pause ETH Borrowing:

AIP-97 has been passed and queued. Ahead of the Ethereum Merge, the Aave protocol faces the risk of high utilization in the ETH market. Temporarily pausing ETH borrowing will mitigate this risk of high utilization.

Gauntlet has also posted a post-Merge plan to re-enable ETH borrowing here.

Gauntlet has launched the Analytics Dashboard to provide the community with greater insight into key protocol metrics. The dashboard provides statistics on supply, borrow, usage, liquidations, and debt repayment. These analytics dashboards are in addition to Gauntlet’s existing Aave Risk Dashboard.

In addition, Gauntlet has published Dashboard FAQs to provide the community with more resources to understand Aave’s market risk.
